j.pastel Return With Their Soothingly Soft New Slow Jam Single ‘Strawberry Lemonade’

Chase Durrett and Casey Bruce of Bedroom Pop Duo j.pastel are back with a deliciously down-beat tune. Boasting a minimal vibe, this new offering will have your mind/body in a relaxed state of euphoria.

Forming in Chicago in the summer of 2019 the two fuse 80s analogue synthesisers, dreamy chorus rich guitars with pop-inspired songwriting. The two bonded over a shared interest in escapism though music, subsequently aiming to explore this idea through their new project. Hoping to make their mark, they plan to release their highly anticipated debut EP at the end of 2020. Keeping us biting our nails right til the end.

The pair gained traction last month with the release of the lead single from their forthcoming EP, ‘Senegal’. A dance-floor worthy bop filled with deep grooves and a funk-fuelled bass-line getting even the most stubborn of feet tapping. The success of ‘Senegal’ was widespread, the track gained significant interest from outlets such as Indietronica, CLUNK and When The Horn Blows as well as a feature on Spotify’s coveted ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist. Now, the duo hopes to maintain their momentum with the release of their latest, chilled-out bedroom pop single, ‘Strawberry Lemonade’.

Written in a simplistic, subtly romantic fashion, ‘Strawberry Lemonade’ is a beautiful down-tempo track allowing us access into a more intimate side of the duos psyche. This track is a new offering that perfectly demonstrates j. pastel’s powerful artistic range and signature airy vocals. We are still in the early incarnation of j.pastel’s presence within the scene but so far so good!
