The Bedford-born Singer/Songwriter has hit us with another taste of infectious indie rock in his latest release IDONTLIKETHECOLD. The three tracks constantly evolve into something different, capturing an endlessly playable addition of what I believe to be a flawless piece of work for the now London based artist.
Citing Kings of Leon, Little Comets, Cassia, Peace and The Cure as his greatest influences, this is the year for Miller to break through the industry walls. The EP is art personified, leaving the listener no room for interpretation as the layers of woozy almost haunting vocals creep into the mix; creating an unexpected, yet masterful context to the instrumentation. The lyrical content remains personable and relatable throughout, offering a deeper sense of interaction with the man behind the microphone. After a couple of home-town shows to support the release, a slot at 02 Academy Islington highlighted the development in his character and drive, replicated in the rich, soothing tones heard in his latest release; the potential is scary.
