The Pylons Latest Single ‘Feel Good’ Plays True To Its Title, A Joyous And Energetic Offering From The London-Based 5 Piece. Though the sun-kissed and vibrant warmth of July seems like a distant memory they have managed to capture the essence of summer in their latest single “Feel Good“. Drawing Comparisons to early ‘Glass Animals‘, the opening verse immediately strikes with a turbulent yet composed rhythm, drenched in a delicately controlled combination of chorus and reverb. The ethereal tone to the pre-chorus separates the song’s structure into juxtaposed sections, the reflective almost melancholic theme in the verse, contrasting against the emphatically upbeat chorus, ringing out with the phrase I want to feel good. The hook however doesn’t portray a sign of desperation, instead it breaths with a sense of optimism; highlighting that we should all find solace in our lives, no matter how small.
A month on and the single has racked up over 31K streams on Apple Music, mainly gaining notoriety in the US. The group have been working hard on new material over the summer which means there is more content to come, as well as a short UK tour starting in Lincoln, then going on to Leeds and then inally back in London supporting Valeras at Notting Hill Arts Club. This single is infectiously joyous and I for one cannot wait drown out the winter cold with their next release.
